How many Laser treatments are necessary for effective hair reduction?
Hair grows in 3 phases. Laser can only treat the hair within one of these phases called anagen. This is when the hair is growing and there are actively dividing cells in the hair follicle.
At any given time, there is only a certain percentage of hair in anagen. This is why the Laser must be performed over a number of sessions with a certain time between treatments to achieve the best result. (4-6 weeks)
The number of sessions required depends on your hair and skin colour and how your body responds to the treatments. The following is used as a guide only.

How does Diode Laser for Skin Rejuvenation work?
When used to target the signs of premature ageing, Diode Laser works by omitting the laser which is absorbed within the dermis, while cooling the surface of the skin. This causes reversible damage to the collagen network which tricks your fibroblasts into kick starting the healing response of the skin and promoting new collagen formation.

What will happen during my treatment?
The skin is thoroughly cleansed and protective eye shields are worn. The treatment starts with the laser being omitted from a small distance of the skin warming the skin and starting the process. Then a layer of gel is applied to the area and the applicator is placed onto the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The ice cooled applicator glides over the skin in lifting movements and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated.
How long will the treatment take and how many will you need?
A facial treatment usually takes about 30 minutes.
Treatments are carried out every 4 weeks and up to 6 treatments may be needed for maximum results.
